Welcome to on the GO coffee shop. What originally started out as a temporary experiment, quickly became a unique little coffee shop in the heart of Gordon’s Bay. Jaco and Yolande Naude entered the coffee shop business 11 years ago when they bought DCM Inc. (a coffee shop at Stellenbosch University).

They always had the dream of owning a coffee shop on the beach front. On the GO was therefore the perfect spot! The exchange of the student buzz for a serene place on the beach front was not easy, but with each passing day, they realise it was the perfect thing to do. When it comes to the property, the transformation is simply astonishing and is there for everyone to enjoy.

Meet the team
Jaco and Yolande Naude, the creators of "On the go".
They are inclined on making every customer feel at home and to build long-lasting relationships.
Together they have 11 years experience in the coffee shop industry.
Ian Louw is our head barista.
He met Jaco and Yolande at DCM in 2014 when he started his studies at Stellenbosch University. In the 4 years of Ian's university career, he had a tradition of drinking a DCM chai latte after each test or exam.
"Oom Jaco" always gave Ian the opportunity to make his own coffee at DCM, and this is where their coffee relationship started.

Ian has a passion for good, quality coffee and is fond of sharing this passion with fellow coffee lovers.
Roland Ilunga is our trainee barista.
Roland is originally from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He has the dream of becoming an architect. Roland is also the musical leader at his local church where he plays drums.
​
He is very proud of his high level French and he is the only one allowed to serve French speaking customers; a rule suggested by himself.
So even if you only know some basic French words, put a big smile on Roland's face by conversing in French!
